Bitcoin Options Flow, Block Trades & OI Changes

Compare recorded Bitcoin options trading flows with changes in open interest by strike. Trading flow measures executions during a window, whereas open-interest changes compare outstanding positions at two observations. A large trade does not by itself identify a new directional position.

Bitcoin options give the holder the right, but not the obligation, to buy or sell Bitcoin at a specified strike under the contract's settlement terms. Calls and puts can be compared by strike and expiry using the options chain, open-interest charts and trading-volume views.

Implied volatility reflects the volatility priced into options, while realized volatility describes past price changes. Options volume, open interest, skew and gamma exposure provide different views of positioning and pricing; none alone establishes the direction of the next Bitcoin price move.
